Just-a-Liar Trudeau - We will make every vote count.

We will make every vote count.

“We are committed to ensuring that 2015 will be the last federal election conducted under the first-past-the-post voting system. We will convene an all-party Parliamentary committee to review a wide variety of reforms, such as ranked ballots, proportional representation, mandatory voting, and online voting. This committee will deliver its recommendations to Parliament. Within 18 months of forming government, we will introduce legislation to enact electoral reform.” The Liberal Party of Canada

“Trudeau made that promise 1,813 times during the 2015 campaign” The Washington Post

“As part of his 32-point plan to “restore democracy,” Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau said Tuesday that if elected, he would create a special, all-party parliamentary committee to study alternatives to the current first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system, including ranked ballots, proportional representation, mandatory voting and online voting.” CBC

“Changing the way Canadians vote is just one element of a sweeping, 32-point plan to “restore democracy in Canada” that Trudeau announced Monday.” Global News

“I am disappointed that we have broken our promise, and I strongly disagree with our government’s decision to abandon electoral reform. Justin Trudeau” Huffington Post

Now the real reason why the Liberals refused to keep their promise. They would not be a majority government and would not have the free hand to do as they wish. Reference the National Post
