UPDATED FEB 29th 2012 Without a doubt there is an all-out war to kill off what remains of our traditional and natural salmon and other species of fish that inhabit the rivers and coastline of British Columbia. Primarily in the headlines today is the deadly poisonous snake called “Northern Gateway” that starts in Alberta plans are set to have it pump its toxins into Supertankers and any subsequent disaster is wo

This is an open letter to the Counselors and Mayors who represent the people who live in the path the proposed Northern Gateway Pipeline. First let’s address the argument that many of these counselors are putting forward. They suggest that the most intelligent way to proceed is not to get ahead of the hearings, that we should in fact wait to see what the outcome of the hearings are before we make a decision. It d

There was a time when making racist remarks was considered too disgusting for anyone, particularly for those in the press to say or print, but clearly things have changed. The Tale of Three Devils All of Canada is focused on the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway project, the devil in the middle. Well not quite, under the radar Kinder Morgan (the middle devils shadow) is also trying to fast track Alberta Tarsands Dirty Oil. (The devil on the right) Let us begin with where everyone is looking, the devil in the middle, the one up north, and then we will look at its shadow down south. W

According to some fishermen these is no such thing as neutral on the issue of risking the environment in hopes of milking Enbridge for the short time it will be in the adjacent area for a few lousy dollars. You are either going to protect our lakes, rivers, streams our wildlife our tourism or you simply are not going to, there is no halfway here. Karen Elizabeth Lee   This is a letter I have sent to some newspapers – so far, no one has printed it  To the editor:  A report by David Hughes, one of Canada’s foremost energy analysts, was recently quoted in an article by Andrew Nikiforuk about the Northern Gateway Pipeline.  I was interested in this because Mr. Harper has been accusing “environmentalists and other radical groups” who may be funde
