In the world of politics I have yet to come across a better written constitution than the one drafted by the Social Credit Party in British Columbia a decade or two ago. What I like about it was that you did not have to be a right winger to be able to support it; you did not have to be left leaning or a leftist to support it.

It was simply a great set of rules for you and me, and my neighbor and the guy across the street who all could find honest common ground in working provincially as a community.

Some called it free enterprise party, but it was more than that, it was a socially responsible working community party. Community and communist or communal all have something in common, that being the focal point of community.

Just to name a few of the thousands dictating the terms by which we live.

What went wrong with the party was it did not follow the guidelines of its constitution close enough, and add to that a media who follow the orders of their own bosses on Wall Street who had a much different plan for British Columbia.

Wall Street did not appreciate Bill Bennett Sr. when he bought out private hydro and set up a people owned company called BC Hydro that still provides some of the cheapest electricity to our citizens compared to anywhere else in the world.

That in the words of our capitalist fanatics is pure unadulterated communism! Hey folks from what some idiots have called right wing fanatics.

We also saw the NDP kick greedy auto insurance in the proverbial butt, and match the Socreds by creating ICBC.

This dear friends is British Columbia at its best, when it fought for you and me, your mother, your grandmothers and grandfathers, today look how they are kicking our elders around like unwanted trash, and they call the good government?

Get it out of your heads, the party name game, the real question is not about left right or down the middle, there are two groups out there today. The first is the hell with people, the second is people come first, now show me what party falls in which group, so I can tell you to your face if or not you are a liar or you really care about the truth.

The media back in the days of the Socreds played the card of religion should have no role in politics; they castigated the Socreds as a bunch of bible thumping maniacs, and the public bought it hook line and sinker, and if you look at today’s government, we have now and entrenched corporation’s as the superior necessity, above that of all human needs, and most certainly above Medicare, schools and social institutions.

If bullshit is allowed then its ok to tell people that you need to put corporation’s first so that the Medicare and all our social programs can exist. Nothing could be further than the truth, there is no trickle-down effect, there is, was and always will only be a trickle up effect, unless we put a stop to this nonsense.

The media back then played the NDP up just long enough to get their dirty work done, then did what they are so good at, namely smeared the heck out of a political party who left British Columbia with a phenomenal ZERO deficit.

Back then the NDP were almost the same as the Socreds, it was just team A or B playing the same game, and I could not care less about those who rant about commies and leftists, because if you were there in real life you would know the difference, or you simply never wanted to know the difference.

Heck back in those days it was not unusual for the NDP and Socreds to car pool together to go to speaking engagements or live debates. So it really pisses me off to hear fanatics talk about the NDP like they were some evil conspiracy out of the heart of Russia. So if you’re one of those and you’re reading this, go back and join the others in the cave you just crawled out of, and bring take your garbage back into caveman history where you belong.

Contrary to the myth that it was Socreds disguised as Liberals who were to take power next, it was actually the “Wall Streeter’s” disguised as Socreds, then moving on to the Liberals, and now appear to be moving on to the Conservative Party of BC today.

The dirtiest scumbag of all times was a, “Wall Streeter’s” by the name of Gordon Campbell, and the so called death of that evil empire looks like it belongs to Christy Clark, another dirty lie, Christy does the nose dive while the cause moves to another party.

According to these “Wall Streeter’s” the public owned way too much, and Wall Street wanted it all, and by God they got a massive chunk of it thanks to Gordon Campbell, and they are still trying to insure British Columbia is in a binding agreements to disallow the citizens of British Columbia to take it back.

Look at todays entrenched foreign owned salmon farms, foreign owned hydro projects, a now foreign owned railroad, a soon to be foreign owned BC Hydro, all by a foreign owned BC Liberal party. Look at how our raw resources are being shipped out of BC, or logs, minerals, and soon if they get their way our natural gas, leaving our citizens with a home heating bill on natural gas we hardly can afford!

A Party that solicits help from outside of Canada, because the people inside British Columbia are sick of holding their nose with one hand and helping it with the other. No wonder so many good people left politics after being an MLA under Campbell or Clark.

These Wall Street serving thugs are not a lot unlike those Americans and British who put Saddam Hussein in power, and removed him around the same time as he cut off the oil supply to them, and hide behind demonizing him with weapons of mass destruction that never did exist. But the media played it like a well-tuned harp and look where Saddam is today.

First it was called conspiracy theorist who said there were no weapons of mass destruction, now everyone knows there was none.

I have a conspiracy theory of my own, has anyone noticed that every empire set up by the “Queen” to this day remains in place where the rich are privileged and the poor pay for that privilege.? It was from the onset the goal to have a master serf relationship, and it’s still intact today in every one of those countries.

Our media is owned by big business, big business wanted control, now big business has control, and it makes me wonder just how long it will take the media to replace its own hideous child with another one of its own under a new name.

Watch Enbridge! Any political party that does not have the guts to say no to Enbridge is taking its marching orders from Wall Street and not from the people who are electing them.

If you doubt me Google a search on who owns local and provincial newspapers, there are few left that do not belong to billion dollar corporations. But wait, what they don’t tell you are, who owns the shares of those who own the newspapers or TV or radio. They don’t tell you that the same big business you’re trying to say no to, also has shares in that newspaper or TV or radio station that you’re trying to use to get your views to the public.

Ever wonder why you rarely will read how the Workers Compensation Boards across Canada, BC included, screw 99% of its long term injured workers, then has the gall to honor those who died in the workplace, because they don’t have what it takes to be honest enough to tell you how they too get screwed out of a settlement.

It’s not a conspiracy theory, to note that the masses in the USA wanted to get rid of the Republicans (called Conservatives in Canada) and replace them with Democrats (NDP in Canada) and why? Because of the policies of war, the policies that allowed the rich to get richer, the policies of health care for the rich, and nothing for the poor.

Never mind excuses, what is the bottom line today? Has anything changed? Well we all know, the wars continue, even accelerated somewhat, the threats of new wars, are higher than ever, the rich are still getting richer, and that promised heath care when down the toilet faster than you can say flush.

If you see anyone running a campaign and will not be specific about what they will or will not allow the corporate empire to do, then they are likely there by the consent of it, to replace what the public is mad at, with what they think the public will tolerate, however nothing will change for the corporations.

If you don’t believe it, you try getting them to commit publicly to stand up and tell any big corporation no we won’t allow that in BC. Forget the name of a party long enough to use this as a guide, it’s not what they promise that counts, it’s how they behave and live now that counts. If you catch them in one lie, sooner or later you will find that lies are their attribute, and not honesty.  Forget the party names altogether, judge each candidate on their behavior today. If they have to step on other to be on top, they will step on you once they are on top.

My friends is the role of the media is directed by its corporate owned bosses, to keep you happy, keep you deceived, and keep you paying, more and more of your hard earned income for a smaller and smaller portion until you figure it out.

We need to pass laws prohibiting corporations from owning newspapers, or any form of news media, only then will the power of the people once again be the dominant voice of our country, or for that matter even the world.

Until then you will all have to depend on alternative news, written by people you trust, while deleting those bookmarks of those that are set up by anarchists, who are simply just insane losers, who want the power of those who have it now.

Listen to what the elders are saying, they are the only people who you can trust. I find it rather profound, to hear myself saying what our First Nations elders have been saying since the birth of Canada. People trust your elders, and not those who tell you great tales and make grand promises.

Our First Nations elders were right all along.
